Stine Seed #46 takes 3rd at Salem Speedway

ADEL, IOWA — April 14, 2008

The #46 Clement Racing Ford Fusion, driven by Matt Carter, finished 3rd in the ARCA/ReMax race series race Sunday in Salem, Ind. The impressive showing sets the stage for an exciting race Saturday at the Iowa Speedway in Newton where Carter will race in the Prairie Meadows 250 presented by the Select Central Iowa Chevy Dealers.

Sponsored by Iowa-based Stine Seed Company, the #46 team earned enough points at Salem to go from 13th in the ARCA/ReMax Series overall points standings to third, just 60 points behind series points leader Justin Allgaier.

During Saturday's qualifying session, Carter had the fastest time until NASCAR® Sprint Cup veteran Ken Schrader bested him by less than one-tenth of a second. Still, Carter's qualification run was good enough to allow Team Stine to start the race on the outside of row 1.

At the drop of the green, Carter gained a sizable lead until the first caution on lap 30. He subsequently overcame tire and transmission problems to finish third behind Allgaier and Schrader.

Carter has already seen victory lane in Newton. In fact, Carter is the most recent race winner at the Iowa Speedway, walking away with a first-place finish in the Hooters® Pro Cup race in October 2007. Plus, Clement's #46 car, then driven by Frank Kimmel, was the winner of the ARCA/ReMax Series Race at the Iowa Speedway a year ago.

The Clement Racing #46 Stine LibertyLink Soybeans Ford Fusion is owned by Larry Clement, Fort Dodge, Iowa, with Carter's father, Travis Carter - himself a former NASCAR champion crew chief and car owner.

The #46 car is also supported by BayerCropscience; Fort Dodge Animal Health; Nu-South Lemonade; Cookies Food Products and Iowa pork producers.
